Justin! Congrats and keep up the great work buddy! Here are his answers to our questions!
Name: Justin Lussier
Age: 29
Occupation: Teacher / Landscaper
What was your exercise experience prior to crossfit?
Prior to crossfit I played soccer and basketball during my high school years and intramural sports during university. I was also just your average gym goer for the past few years.
How long have you been doing crossfit and why do you choose to crossfit?
I have been doing crossfit for about 7 months now. The reason I chose to do crossfit in the first place is because I heard the community of crossfitters were great and wanted to be a part of a fitness program with so much positivity and encouragement! This is still the reason I continue to enjoy coming to crossfit. Also I have never been fitter than I am now and in all aspects! Plus, crossfit is a great challenge and there are so many things to work on and get better at! I love the fact that it’s never boring and I have never needed any internal motivation to get to gym! I get excited to come everyday!
What is your favorite part about crossfit?
Definitely the community of amazing people here and the fact that I get excited to workout everyday!
What are the accomplishments you are proud of? (Crossfit or non crossfit related)
Crossfit related I’d have to say I’m proud of the fact my endurance has gone through the roof and my asthma is slowly getting better each day! Also completing my first muscle ups on the rings and the bar !
Non- crossfit related – getting my teaching degree and having a few years of experience teaching kids and now working towards becoming a police officer.
Favorite workout or lift?
Favourite lift is probably clean and jerk and snatch. Been progressing with both of these and enjoy them a lot better now. Favourite workout is probably Fran and Cindy. Also anything that has lunges or squats. And any long chippers I really enjoy!
Anything else you would like to share ?
Just want to thank Adam and Kristen for running a fantastic gym that’s full of positivity and encouragement. Thanks to All the coaches for all their experience and guidance they provide! And thank you to all the athletes in the gym for always being energetic, positive and for pushing me! Crossfit Sudbury is the best place I’ve been to and look forward to so many more memories with this crossfit family ! You guys all rock! =D
