Hey Folks!

Great work today!  Annie is a popular one (apparently) – I always enjoy it, though my abs will be telling me a different story tomorrow (or maybe the day after).

Thanks to everyone who sent me a message about their goals for the coming year – Looking forward to helping you guys out with it.  We’ll be putting up the competition programming starting next week, which will have different pieces that can be applied to various goals.  Chat with your coach or myself and we’ll get you set up!

Coaches Notes:

Some clean & jerk work to start out and build some technique/strength before we dive in to Elizabeth.  Elizabeth is meant to be done with Squat Cleans, though in the past we’ve also done it with Power Cleans.  It depends on what your goals are – as well as whether you want to re-test something you’ve done before.

Strength:

5 sets
1 power clean
1 squat clean
1 jerk @70%

Benchmark – “Elizabeth”

21-15-9 reps for time of:
• Clean 135/95#
• Ring dips
