Hey Folks!

Press PRs even!  You guys (many of you) PR’d your presses – you awesome animals :)  So awesome.  The press is a difficult lift to progress at without a lot of focused effort.  You’ll keep getting better as you continue to push up, bench, push press, single arm press, muscle snatch, power snatch, high hang snatch, and a whole number of other lifts.  Not as much as you’d improve on a strict press program… but then you’d get worse at everything else – and that’s not really the point of CrossFit.

Regionals is coming up!  It looks pretty solid too.  Exciting to see the pros have a go at some pretty serious tasks on the weekend.

Coaches Notes:

This is a lot of counting rounds.  Use some chips, or maybe THAT is the real challenge in the WOD – remembering what round you’re on.  It still ends up being a fair amount of volume, so don’t underestimate it.  If you normally squat to get your slam ball, you might want to switch to a bit more of a deadlift to pick it up, though ensure you maintain that flat low back.

Conditioninginginging – “Down in the Jungle…”

6 burpees
6 Goblet squats (50/35)
