We’re running a little late – but it is that time of the month again!  This month we’re excited to feature someone who has been committed and consistent with “the process”, and it has shown over the past year.  With this level of constant improvement, We’re very excited to see where this person gets to over the coming months and years :)  For the month of May, we’re honoured to highlight…

Judy!

Here are her answers to our Questions :)

Name:  Judy Guidoccio

Age:  56 years young!

Occupation:  Household CEO

My exercise experience prior to CrossFit:

Walking, swimming, snowshoeing,  and kayaking.

How long have you been with us, and why do you choose to do CrossFit?

I started Crossfit in August 2017. My youngest daughter was referred here for Physiotherapy by our family doctor. When she came here, she saw a brochure for a Vitality Program and she thought it would be really good for me. Boy, was she right!

What is your favourite part of CrossFit?

I have a lot of favourite parts of CrossFit, but first and foremost, our coach Kristin is one of a kind!  She pushes all of us to do our best, but she is also aware of limitations and will always give other options. I personally think our class has the BEST group of people, always being supportive and encouraging to one another.

What are the accomplishments you are most proud of, in and out of the gym?

My main accomplishments (and this may sound silly to some), but for me this was huge…back squats with weights, and unassisted sit-ups. My range of motion was horrible from frozen shoulder, and now it’s almost normal! I’ve come a long way, and I’m so happy that I joined CrossFit Sudbury.

What is your favourite workout, or lift?

I really love doing deadlifts, back squats, rowing (who would have ever thought that), and I’m not hating the other stuff either…LOL. I absolutely look forward to coming 3 times per week and am disappointed when I can’t make it.

This has been the absolute best decision I have ever made to commit to Crossfit.  I was never a gym person before, I never felt confident enough to know what equipment to use and how to use it.  Kristin makes it fun and easy, she is such a great coach.  She has no mercy for us…LOL…she loves to hear how much pain we have after a hard work out.  She says yes, it’s working.  What more can you ask for!  Thanks, CrossFit Sudbury!
