Refreshing weekend – We had a little bit of rain at night (out near Peterborough at least), and got to spend a lot of time outside.  Hopefully you guys also had a great weekend and are fired up after the conclusion of the games!  Sorry I didn’t have the comp stuff up yesterday or Monday, but it’s back now :)

We have 2 teams competing at the Beaton Classic this coming weekend.  If you’re around Sunday and looking for something to do – come yell at us to go faster – we’d appreciate it!

Coaches Notes:

If you’re bad at double unders – sub in 1 minute of practice for the 40 reps and then continue.  With the power cleans – we’ve been doing a lot of them.  That should help with being able to go heavier on the 3 rep touch and go.  Keep it close, keep the back flat, and drive with the legs as well as exploding through the hips.  And use the hook grip – It’ll make your hair curly.

Testing:

3 rep Touch and Go Power Clean
*Spend a little time and max it out.  Stop in at the hips on the way down to ensure a tight low back.  Or don’t if you feel like spines aren’t important.

Conditioning – “I just ate a grape and I…”

10 Minute AMRAP:
40 Double Unders
8 Chest to Bar pull ups
5 Thruster (115/75)
40 Double Unders
8 Chest to Bar pull ups
6 Thrusters (115/75)

*Add one thruster each round.
